She's Got It.... Your Pistol 2: Electr...Ah, Forget It.
So, anyway my last post was about some stuff, I forget exactly what at this exact moment. But what I really wanted to talk about is commercial music. Have you ever heard a commercial, and out of nowhere your stuck with some random (if not catchy) song in your head? So, what are you to do in such situations? Well, personally this has happened to me twice in the last couple of months. The first instance was when I saw this commercial for like, 'keeping your kids in school' or some crap like that. There's this girl at her desk, and the teacher's walking around, and the girl is looking all suspicious. Then she pulls out a little piece of paper, and starts to unfold it, and the teacher looks at her and walks over and givers her a look like, 'hand it over'. When the girl does the teacher unfolds it and inside it says 'You'll do great, Love Mom'. Yeah, sappy, but what are you going to do? Anyway there's this song playing in the background and it just starts out with a guitar (or something) and then somebody starts singing, 'Monday morning came too soon, it's entering my...' and that's all you get. But something about that song stuck with me and I had it in my head, and you can imagine how annoying it is to have some random song stuck in your head and you only know the first half of the first sentence. So, first I ask my friends, and they think that I'm crazy, beacuse none of them have ever seen this commercial before, and I might as well be talking in German, because nobody has any idea of what I'm talking about. And I"m thinking, I can't be that crazy, because I've seen the commercial like 12 times, so somebody somewhere must have seen it. So, then I decide I'm going to find the song. But the first time I saw the commercial I was confused and thought that the song started with 'Sunday morning', so when I went to look it up on Google (I Goggle absolutely everything) I didn't get any hits, well I got hits, but they were all wrong. So, I just left it alone. Fastforward to about a week later. I see the commercial again on Adult Swim and I think that everybody must have seen it then, because all of the people that I associate with love Adult Swim, so when I call my friends to talk about it, again everybody acts like I'm crazy. They missed the commercial again! So, I go back to Google with my new knowledge (it's Monday, not Sunday) and I find the song, the artist, when it was made, and later on (through means that shall remain nameless) I aquired the song. I'm actually listening to it right now. It's Maria Mena, and the song is called (surprisingly enough, Monday Morning.
My next song-that-I-saw-in-a-commercial-and-then-had-to-find was the one in that Volkswagon commercial, I think. So, there are these people, a couple, and they're dancing to this song. And then thier neighbor comes up from downstairs and tells them to stop making such a racket. Then they go out and they buy a new sound system and the girl is rubbing her hands together maniacally, and then you see them rocking out again, only the camera pans out and they're in their own house, with a ForSale/Sold sign in the front yard. The song has been playing through the whole commercial, by the way. Anyway, so I really liked that song, so I typed in some words that I remembered from the song in the commercial into Google. More specifically I typed in "You want it, she's got it, Molly" that's all I could make out, and thanks to a foul up on our tv at home, the closed captioning was on, so I saw the word Molly. So, anyway, I found out that the band was Kings of Leon, and it is comprised of three brothers and a cousin. the name of the song is Molly's Chambers. I am listening to that right now as well. I tell you all of this to show you that with a little determination, and a lot of Google, you can find out all the answers to lifes question. Even the biggest ones. And, more specifically the not so big ones. By the way, I'm pouring out some malt for my fallen homey, Trini, the Yellow Ranger.

Kings of Leon, I've heard of them. They were highlighted on MTV's, "You hear it first." They're cool. Oh, and I've seen THAT commercial before; not that phantom commercial with Maria Mena's music in it.

This is so weird! I found this web page because I was looking for one of those commercial songs! I think it is an IPOD commercial and the guy singing says something like, "She's got your, your pistol," and that is all I remember. I have seen both of those commercials with the cool songs, too, and I couldn't figure out what they were...maybe I should start using Google lol. Well, anyways, I'll stop creeping you out now. Adieu!
yeah i found this cuz i was looking for the song your talking about from the volkwagon commercial. thankx for the inof.
Same as the other two - I also was looking for the Jetta commercial song and found it by googling "you want it, she got it" and your blog came up. What pisses me off is when you go to the website of the product being advertised and they DON'T tell you the song from the commerical. I think they should. Laura
OH, my gosh! Thanks sooooooomuch for unearthing the source of the song in the VW commercial! I love it and its been driving me crazy! Thanks, again!
I love that ad and just discovered the song by Googling "You want it; she's got it....pistol" -- then your link came up. So funny (but reassuring somehow), that it's affected us all. That actress is very expressive. Wonder if this is getting her more work.
You rule! I've been searching for the name of that song for awhile now. Thanks for helping me out!
