Promises, Promises

Right? No, I know, where's the story? Well it's finished, but I just haven't felt like typing it up and then posting it. You're suffering for my laziness again. Things have just been really busy for me lately. You know when you're cleaning up your room, and you get started by putting all your stuff on your bed, and then you never finished, so you're sleeping on the outside ledge for a week? Well, that's what's going on with me, and God help me, I don't know if I'll ever finish. Plus I'm in this play (and I haven't even learned all my lines yet) and anyway, I'm not going to give you a laundry list, but just understand that it's a lot. I don't know why I'm giving these excuses, but here we are, so we might as well stick with it. Anyway, the point of this post which you presently know nothing about, is centered on the fact that it was my friend's birthday the other day and everybody was like let's go out, and we went to this bar or whatever, and we're like hanging out. Anyway, so, are bars the worse thing ever or what? They had a live band, so it wasn't completely terrible, but here's the scenario: Let's go out? Where? I don't know, how about a place where you take about eight or ten people, but you can't hear each other. Great idea! It's so pointless to go with friends to a bar. Like, you're going out and drinking, and hopefully you have a DD, but a lot of people don't, so you're getting on the road, and for like five minutes at least, you know that 3 out of the 4 people driving around you are drunk. So, let's say you're still at the bar, you're not DDing and you're drinking. Like, what is the bloody point? You're getting drunk to loosen up? So you can have more fun? If it takes alcohol to make you more fun you need to take a serious look at your life and figure out what's wrong. I know I sound like an afterschool special, but I feel you should be able to go out with friends, not drink and still have fun. Okay, okay, but some people like to go to a bar and loosen up. There's nothing wrong with that, I'm not bringing the hammer down, whatever. I just don't do it. Anyway, to me, it's more fun to stay at home, or go to a friends house, get a bunch of cool, fun people, and play a game or something. Maybe that's not 'cool', or 'in' but I have a frickin' awesome time with my friends doing things that other people do every day and don't really have that much fun doing. Does that mean we're better than, like 90% of the Earth's inhabitants? No, it just means we're cooler. Which was never in any doubt.

Pass the Duchie Pan, The Left Hand Side!

Hey, I was just mentioning to some friends (probably the exact people who are reading this right now) that I haven't updated this in a while, so I'm writing to say, my b. Also, I'll be posting a short story that I wrote, in a van, down by the river, probably today. I say that tentatively, but why not. I'll put myself out there. Meanwhile, I've gotta go...
